SingleMinded conference FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have listed answers to questions about the SingleMinded conference that we have either been asked, or think we might be asked.  If the question/answer you are looking for is not here, send an email to us and we’ll come back to you as soon as we possibly can with an answer.

Why can’t the conference be more central to the UK?

We hear you! We want to make sure that the conference continues to be as affordable as possible for everyone, and by holding it at DCF there is no cost for hiring a venue. We appreciate this means more travel for some, however, Lord willing, in the future we may be able to hold a conference elsewhere too.

What does the conference fee include?

The conference fee includes a full lunchtime meal and plenty of tea, coffee and cake throughout the day, plus it allows us to cover other basic costs.

What doesn’t the conference fee include?

Accommodation and travel are not included in the conference fee, and additional snacks etc are also not included.

Who is teaching at this year’s conference?

This year there will be 3 short studies, plus two split group (guys/girls) sessions. We are excited to announce that Cristo Rodriguez-Casado plus Simeon and Siân Forder will be teaching and leading these sessions.

I’m in a relationship – can I still come?

Yes – absolutely! The conference is not just for those who are single, just those who are not married. If you’re in a relationship then there is still so much of the conference that will be helpful to you.

Is there an age limit or minimum age?

There is no age limit, however there is a minimum age of 18 (age as of October 2018).  Each year people of a variety of ages attend as singleness and Godly living are not things that relate to only a specific age group.

What happens if I book now and then can’t make it along?

We would ask that you only book if you’re certain that you can come, however we understand that circumstances can change. If you’re not able to attend but have already registered, then please contact us at the very earliest opportunity at as there may be others that are waiting for a place and can’t come unless we know there is room.

Can I get a refund if I book and pay, but don’t come?

Once you’ve paid for your registration it cannot be refunded. If you have any financial queries please get in touch with us at

I would love to come, but not sure I can afford to 🙁

Get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity by email to  If the cost is prohibitive to you coming to the conference then please get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can see how we can help you.

What do I need to bring with me?

Just bring yourself, a Bible (though we have spares here that you can borrow on the day), notepad and pen! We would recommend bringing a few extra pennies in case you want any extra snacks but otherwise all meals and drinks are provided.

Do I have to go to a Calvary Chapel church to come along?

No. We arrange these conferences with our friends at Calvary Chapel churches in mind because we know there is a need for such a conference, however please feel free to share the details of this year’s conference with your friends if you feel they would be blessed by such a conference.
